Even if they do, they usually move so quickly through their scheduled stops at major sites and shrines (and tourist shops) that their first-hand impressions of the land are also superficial. The best Bible atlas for the pastor would be what is now called The Carta Bible Atlas, which for years was called The MacMillan Bible Atlas. I had the older edition for years, but the newer one contains some new helpful maps and I am glad to get it too. This atlas is far superior in the OT than the NT, but even the NT maps are helpful. 3 John’s role in the Bible. In addition to this one, John wrote two other New Testament letters, a Gospel, and possibly the prophetic book of Revelation.. He was a leader in the early church, and he probably wrote his documents after most of the other New Testament books were already written. "The Bible describes God who acts in history, in space, and time. The New Moody Atlas of the Bible is the best resource I know to acquaint readers of the Bible with the 'space' of God's acts. Beitzel's writing is interesting and clear, and the maps and illustrations are outstanding. Every reader of the Bible should have this book.".
